Call
the office at (865) 687-5348 and request that the meter
be tested.
An
appointment will be made with Northeast Knox Utility
District.
Company personnel will come to your residence to remove
and seal the meter for transportation.
A
different meter will be installed in place of the meter
in question, and a meter reading will be taken at the
time of installation.
One
hundred measured gallons of water will be run through
the meter. After the test is completed the testing
facility will issue a test grade for
that meter, based
on the accuracy.
If no
discrepancy is found in the accuracy of the meter that
has been tested this meter will be reinstalled at the
customer's residence. A meter
reading will be taken on
the temporary meter and any usage will be recorded
before its removal and prior to the reinstallation of
the tested
meter. The customer will incur all costs
related to the testing, including the $20.00 test fee. |
